Calgary Folk Music Festival ~July 24-26, 2012 at Prince’s Island Park – Over the water and through the trees an island teems with the sights and sounds of musical exploration and community, a magic place that springs to vivid life every July for four wonderful days. See and hear 68 artists from 14 countries on 7 stages. Visit the interactive family area, browse at the original tree-shaded artisan market, sample some cuisine from the global village and share a beverage with your tribe in the beer garden. Make some music in Bin 15 and see some original theatre at the BIOBOXES.


Sun and Salsa Festival ~ Sunday, July 22, 2011 11:00am-5:00 pm Kensington Heats Up With Sun And Salsa. Start with tomatoes, add garlic and hot peppers, and garnish with cilantro! Set fire to those taste buds during Kensington’s 18th annual SUN AND SALSA FESTIVAL. This annual family event takes place along Kensington Road and 10th Street NW. Seven live entertainment stages will spread Latin flavour through the neighbourhood if you want to listen to music and dance. Bring your kids to the Children’s Carnival zone for family orientated entertainment and fun!

Taste of Calgary ~ August 16 - 19, 2012 Taste of Calgary, the city's outdoor festival of food and drinks is back for it's 16th year @ eau claire's festival plaza. Visitors enjoy a mix of exotic global cuisine's like Cajun, Caribbean, East Indian, and Persian; all represented by over fifty of the Calgary’s most unique restaurants and beverage companies. Purchase Taste sampling tickets for $1.00 each right at the event and use them to sample any of the food or beverage menu items at the festival. Everything is sample-sized, including the prices. Admission to the festival is free and includes a taste of Calgary’s incredible local entertainers - live on the Main Stage.
